Six sugar gums. All six kept.
A Stonyfell homeowner had six large sugar gums around the house, with heavy limbs reaching out over the roof. Rather than lose the trees, we helped them apply to the City of Burnside’s Regulated and Significant Tree Assistance scheme (RASTA).
RASTA can reimburse up to 75% of approved maintenance work on regulated and significant trees, up to $2,000 per tree, but council has to approve the work first. Once it did, we climbed all six and reduced their crowns away from the house, keeping the risk to the dwelling low while keeping the trees.
Got a big regulated tree you'd rather keep? Some councils help pay for maintenance. City of Marion runs a similar rebate, and we can tell you at the quote whether yours does.
